Iron Maiden were right at the start of heavy metal. They're famous for Bruce Dickinson’s high flying lyrics, their melodic lead guitar solo’s and their famous mascot Eddy. Oh and did i mention sometimes their songs last for more than 10 minutes. Proper air guitar rock! There's no denying their influence for each metal band from the 80′s on. They were extraordinarily influential on Slayer, whose early works sound similar to Iron Maiden licks.

Even Now that metal is coming back bands like Mastodon who are taking the next steps of metal that maiden help start. In their own right there are a second level icon behind bands like Zeppelin and Sabbath who were the early founders of rock music.

My favorite album of Iron Maiden is Power Slave. It's the heaviest of all of the Maiden albums. It features some of their best songs including Power Slave, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, and 2 Minutes to Midnight. I'd also recommend the album Killers which was released before Bruce Dickinson was their singer.

The tunes Murders in the Rue Morgue and Killers exhibit more of a hard rock feel a lot more like ACDC in their early work than the later more melodic. They were known for putting out idea albums which the entire collection of their albums follows the story of their giant mascot Eddie.

Iron Maiden includes Steve Harris (bass), Bruce Dickinson (vocalist), Janick Gers (guitar), and Nicko McBrain (drums). Their albums include 1979 Soundhouse Tapes Rockhard, Iron Maiden, Killers, The Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Somewhere in Time Sony, 7th Boy of a Seventh Son, Soldier, Stranger in a Unusual Land, Running Free Run to the Hills, No Prayer for the Dying, Fear of the Dark, The X Factor, Virtual XI, Brave New World and Dance of Death.

Over the last 2 decades, internet technology has grown by leaps and bounds. As a result, most folks today utilize the web for virtually anything and everything. Free MP3 download, is one of the most popular online activities presently.

Given the accessibility and affordability of state-of-the-art consumer electronic products such as iPod, smartphones, PDA (Personal Digital Assistants), laptops and cellphones amongst others, a majority of people today listen to their

favorite albums and artist in digital format. The shift to free MP3 download has prompted a majority of bands and artists to permit their albums and singles to be circulated on the web because of the huge prospective audience they can

access by making use of the World Wide Web.

Other than free MP3 download which is made available on most websites, artists and bands are also providing their fans with free demos, back stage shots and interviews as a way of promoting their music.

There is no doubt that the music industry is one of the most lucrative and competitive sectors in the world. As such, artists and bands are going to great lengths to make certain that their albums and singles are made available to

audiences worldwide, and the net provides several straightforward means to achieve this. A majority of new artists and bands post facts about themselves as well as their music on most social websites such as Twitter, Facebook and

Google + amongst others where guests can either download or stream their music.

One of the advantages of using the internet to distribute music is that most the websites made available for free MP3 download can be personalized and the amount of space available on the net is extremely generous. In addition, the free

MP3 search engine allows individual connections to grow between artists and their fan base that constantly follow them. Eminem, one of the most popular rappers in the world recently sold over one million copies of his latest album

within the first week thanks to free MP3 download. Having seen his success, other leading artists such as Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have followed suit by providing free MP3 download to their fans globally.

Whereas the use of free MP3 search engine has been hailed as one way through which artists and bands can promote their album sales, there are those who are finding this idea quite unpalatable. There are musicians who think that free

MP3 download will result on reduced sales and eventually, lost revenues. As a result, most well-known artists and bands have been slow in creating their own music sharing websites, whilst others have sort to have file-sharing by means

of peer-to-peer networks discontinued altogether.

According to a recent study, free MP3 download has not affected album and CD sales in anyway. On the contrary, the idea has driven album and CD sales to the roof. Artic Monkeys, a British band recently decided to make their materials

available on their site rather than lose out on album and CD sale. Surprisingly, their debut album rapidly became the quickest selling inauguration album of all time.

When free MP3 download first came into being, it was only accessible through a particular number of sources that were not even legal. The moment digital media became a normal technique for obtaining music, recording companies

begun to offer additional outlets for legally obtaining free MP3 download. Since then, the number of places where one could go on the internet to obtain music without having to be concerned about internet threats such as viruses and

spyware or copyright violation legislations skyrocketed.

Presently there are hundreds of thousands of website that provide free MP3 download. Valued at approximately one dollar per track, you can choose to purchase an entire album or individual songs. What’s more is that, if there are CDs

that you cannot find in record stores, you can use free MP3 search engine to find them with extreme ease.

Whilst there is no doubt that free MP3 download has enabled most folks to access music of all genres with extreme ease, there are still a number of issues that artist and recording companies have to deal with, for example, security. Some

of the security measures implemented by artist and recording companies usually make it difficult for the downloaded music to play on most music players. However, media distributors are increasingly making their files universal.

Free MP3 download is beneficial to both artists and consumers. Whereas artists and recording companies have found alternative ways of making money through digital sales, consumers have also saved thousands of dollars. Therefore, if

you have not registered for free MP3 download, then you need to do so with one of the many digital retailers. There are several benefits that you stand to gain, for instance, unlimited music download so long as you are a member.

Product Description

What's it all about? "A seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace / And rearrange your liver to the solid mental grace." Actually, it really doesn't matter. Later Yes would fragment, lose focus, but here is Yes functioning for once in the band's tortuous career as an organic unit, and individual elements--such as Jon Anderson's trippy lyrics--are less important than the whole. Even Rick Wakeman's Rachmaninov-for-Hammond-organ excesses work in context, compensated for by Steve Howe's amazingly fluid guitar (equal parts Charlie Christian and Chet Atkins), in turn counterbalanced by Chris Squire's behemoth Rickenbacker bass and Bill Bruford's jazzy drumming. This is rock music informed by the improvisatory spirit of Miles Davis, allied with the grandiose pretensions of the classics: love it or hate it, Close To The Edge is the definitive prog album. --Mark Walker

Product Description

What you make of Bon Jovi's seventh album largely depends on whether you believe Jon Bon Jovi really knows what it's like to be "two paychecks away from living out on the street". These Days is the songwriter's leap towards Springsteen immortality. He fails, but that isn't to say the album isn't the band's most interesting, diverse and artistically rewarding of their career to date. The first recorded without bassist Alec Jon Such, it needed the characteristics of a "second album", following as it did the professional and artistic renascence of Keep the Faith. What they've produced is a side-step, a progression, and not necessarily an obvious one.

The title track is possibly their most mature effort, where "even innocence has caught the midnight train" and "there ain't nobody left but us these days". The dusty Americana of "Hey God" and "All I Want Is Everything" deal (almost successfully) with what can only be termed "social issues", whereas "This Ain't a Love Song" is one of their finest ballads. The hitherto unencountered diversity continues in the form of the highly charged brass of "Damned", which charts the anguish of infidelity, and in an ongoing religious theme, strangely absent from previous work. At 14 tracks it suffers, with the plodding "Diamond Ring" being an inexplicable and unforgivable inclusion, just as "Always" and "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" were tacked needlessly on to their best-of Crossroad. Jon Bon Jovi might not be the Boss, but he sure is a king. --Ben Johncock

Product Description

Shorn of Jon Anderson's touchy-feely New Age sensibilities and Rick Wakeman's camp, operatic flourishes, this incarnation of Yes were a leaner, meaner machine altogether. Drama (1980) was the last Yes album and last line-up change before their split and subsequent resurrection as a bland transatlantic MOR outfit (remember 90125 and "Owner Of A Lonely Heart"?). New singer Trevor Horn brings to the party both fellow ex-Buggle Geoff Downes on keyboards and--equally important--his extraordinary talent as a producer. The album remains a model of recording clarity: every note, every carefully honed nuance is captured in clinical detail. And that's exactly why Drama has sometimes been written off as uninvolving. In truth, it's a muso's album par excellence: marvel at the shifting time signatures, gasp at the dizzying key changes, thrill as intertwining instruments weave ever more complex tapestries of sound. It's that kind of album. Maybe emotionally it leaves many listeners high and dry, but as a masterclass in virtuoso rock musicianship it's thrilling. --Mark Walker

Product Description

Bon Jovi’s eleventh album has in some ways, as its title suggests, come full circle. There are reminders scattered throughout of the undiluted, heads-down rocking of their pre-"Living On A Prayer" days. In other ways it is exactly what it says it is on the tin; i.e. there are no efforts to reinvent the wheel here. They’re an older band than they once were, so there are noticeable limits to their respective ranges, but there's some gutsy fretwork from an on-form Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi’s hoarse, varnished croak does what it has to do, and both will undoubtedly please fans. There are plenty of crunching, air-punching moments and choreographed anthems, but pleasingly they don't feel nearly as forced as much of their post-2000 output. This free and easy approach has worked wonders, making Bon Jovi seem like less of a formula-entrenched machine and more open to the odd light touch and nuance. To leave you in no doubt of their heritage, "When We Were Beautiful" employs Don McLean’s "American Pie" ‘sha-la-la’s under a slick, high-budget rock sheen, but "Superman Tonight" is so warm and universal it could pass for Snow Patrol or Coldplay under the right stadium lights. Credibility may not be something they especially crave, but still, "Work For The Working Man" sounds patently ridiculous coming from the mouth of a millionaire. The balance is redressed a little by "Fast Cars" and also by the fact that the song is pure Slippery When Wet. A surprisingly deft proving of form. --James Berry
